WiN Germany members at the General Assembly in Karlsruhe in October 2010 - with Irene Aegerter as special guest
WiN Germany was founded as a legal entity in 2008. Since then, more than 160 women working in the German nuclear community joined this network. Most of WiN Germany’s members are working in utilities, nuclear engineering companies or research institutions. Nearly the complete spectrum of nuclear professions is covered by the German WiN members: from engineers to health physics specialists, from legal to communications experts.
The main objectives of WiN Germany are
- Creating a network which allows its members an open, honest and easy communication even on difficult topics.
- Informing the public about the benefits of nuclear energy and thus increasing the acceptance of this energy.
